Vito Gamberale, Senior Advisor
Vito Gamberale is a Senior Advisor to Tiger Infrastructure. Mr. Gamberale is the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of F2i Fondi Italiani per le Infrastrutture SGR S.p.A. ("F2i"), an infrastructure investment firm managing a €1.85 billion fund focused on Italy. Under Mr. Gamberale's leadership, F2i has invested in power, transportation and natural resource infrastructure assets and has become a leading investor in Italian infrastructure. Prior to founding F2i, Mr. Gamberale had a long career in several senior management roles, including: from 1998 to 2006 Chief Executive Officer of Autostrade (today operating as Atlantia), a leading European toll motorway company; Deputy Chairman of 21 Investimenti, the private equity firm backed by the Benetton family; Chief Executive Officer of SIP (today operating as Telecom Italia, Italy's incumbent telecom operator), where one of his main achievements was the original roll-out of mobile telephony in Italy, later taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer of TIM Telecom Italia Mobile, Italy's largest mobile phone company. From 1984 to 1991 he was chairman and chief executive officer of several companies within the ENI Group, Italy's leading integrated multinational oil & gas group. Mr. Gamberale started his career in the corporate finance sector, working on M&A, start-up, restructuring, and privatization transactions, initially at IMI (Istituto Mobiliare Italiano) and subsequently at GEPI (Società per le Gestioni e Partecipazioni Industriali). Mr. Gamberale holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from La Sapienza University in Rome and an honory degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Tor Vergata University in Rome.
